Trends....the striped sweater

Hi dolls,

I was doing some research over the weekend to search for another trend that is hot right now and I found it; The Stripe Sweater. I have made 4 ways to pair up the same sweater and all you have to do is pick the one you like the most and rock it!

The Stripe Sweater & Jeans (I paired this sweater with boyfriend jeans but any type of jean would be amazing with this sweater. Also, the pop of red adds the greatest touch to this outfit, very nautical)

Celebrity Look Alike

Hey lovely ladies,

Today's Celebrity Look Alike I am featuring the lovely Kourtney Kardashian and Olivia Palermo....again! These 2 girls are so stylish, I literally love every outfit they wear. Even when Kourtney is pregnant she is stylish!!

I absolutely love this outfit that Kourtney Kardashian is wearing, I think I love the boyfriend jeans the most in this outfit. I don't have boyfriend jeans and have been on the look out to buy a good pair of them (I  went to 5 stores over the weekend and asked the sales people if they had the boyfriend fit and they all looked at me like I was nuts). The white button up, sandals, and gold watch add a nice casual and chic look for the summer.

Now on the Olivia Palermo! This is also a very casual and chic look but is more for the the brisk fall/spring days because of the jacket and over-the-knee boots.

  I have been really into cinching my waist lately and this is why I love this outfit. I think the belt really adds a nice sophistication and classiness to this very casual outfit.

Casual Business Wear

Since tomorrow is Friday I think today's blog can help any girl who is stuck on what to wear for casual business wear! There is a fine line between too casual and too professional. You want to pick something that is okay for your company/work: what has other people worn, what has your boss worn, or can you wear jeans?

Take some examples from the lovely Pippa Middleton. Dresses are very easy to dress professional or casual, just make sure it isn't too short and if it is wear tights.

 

Here is Pippa wearing black jeans, which in my book is a perfect jean color for this attire because they look much more dressier. But as you can see see pairs a casual blazer to make it a professional business wear.

Here are some amazing looks from Zooey Deschanel from her amazing show "New Girl." Again, I want to stress that if your skirt or dress is too short, please wear tights! Also, if your wearing a shorter skirt or dress make sure to wear flats!

I am in love with this polka dot skirt she is wearing! I have been trying to buy it but it is sold out everywhere!

Celebrity Look Alike

For today’s Celebrity Look Alike I have the very stylish Rachel Bilson and Kourtney Kardashian. As you all can tell I really love Kourtney Kardashian's (she is probably one of my fashion icons) style so I will definitely be featuring her in a lot of my Celebrity Look Alike's.

This particular outfit that Kourtney Kardashian is wearing is very casual and well put together. I love the jean shorts and blazer combo because it takes the normal jean shorts look up a notch. Once you add killer round sunglasses, a tiger stripe shirt, gold watch (I recommend Michael Kors), tote bag, and strappy black sandals you will be ready to start your day off right because of this put together outfit.

The next Celebrity Look Alike is one of my other fashion icons because she really knows how to put an outfit together and make it look effortless. She is wearing black skinny jeans, big white shirt, leather jacket (I recommend Michael Kors), aviators (I would wear Ray Bans), yellow/gold scarf, big brown bag, and cute brown flat (I know she is wearing heels but I would much rather wear flats).

Must Have Shoes

One word comes to mind when I think of the words; sexy, comfortable, confident, durable, and doesn’t get tight when I gain weight. Can you guess what word I’m thinking of? SHOES! I love shoes so much and I really think there are 8 Must Have Shoes that every girl should have in their closet. Personally I am still needing to get me a good pair of nude pumps and heel boots, so let me know if you guys know of a good pair of those.

Now I would definitely keep something in mind when purchasing some of these items because I have come to the conclusion that if you can afford to spend more money on these staple and classic shoes (that will never go out of style) I definitely would invest in them.

What to Wear...on a rainy day

 

What to Wear...on a rainy day is perfect for today since it is raining in Chicago. This is also a perfect day to use this because I have the Burberry rain boots here and on my Wanted Wednesday that I featured today! Rainy days are a perfect day to whip out your trench coat, rain boots, a stylish umbrella.

 

In the first look I have the Burberry rain boots, Michael Kors trench coat, jeans, a sweater to keep you toasty warm, and a cute ruffled umbrella. This look is more of your casual rainy day look that would be perfect for a day of running errands or going shopping.

 

The last look has the Hunter high heel rain boots, a Burberry trench coat, jeans, pink scarf, wool hat, and a cute pink umbrella to match the scarf and trench coat. This look is a little more of your dressy rainy day that would be perfect for a lunch date or a day shopping.

Celebrity Look Alike

Everyone loves a good dose of Olivia Palermo because of her effortless style she wears walking the streets of New York and her trendy and chic outfits she wears on the red carpets. This certain look is her showcasing her effortless style while walking around the magnificent New York City. The cool color of the olive green jeans, the ballet flats, and her plain black sweater is a look any girl can wear. Pairing with a big tote bag, simple earrings, gold bangles, and beautiful movie star sunglasses will make you feel like you can take on the world, one store at a time.

The next starlet is the beautiful Leighton Meester, who we all know and love from the amazing show “Gossip Girl.” The show has really rubbed off on Leighton because she can wear simple olive green cargo pants with a white t-shirt and still make it look stylish. Add sky high platform heels, a hobo tote bad, and big round sunglasses and you too can look like Leighton.

Save vs. Splurge

Don’t we all ask “where can I find a Hermes Birkin bag look alike and not spend thousands of dollars?” Now a little food for thought, if you can afford to splurge on classic items then I would. The item I would spend the most on for this blog is the trench but first I have to make more money to do that!!

The first item is the Hermes Birkin bag that can cost as little as $5,300 to over $50,000. Luckily I found a look alike bag by Michael Kors that cost $348 and I when I bought this item I fell in love with how it looks like the Birkin and of course the size of it!

Next is a gold watch, there is the luxury brand Rolex that can cost around $650 to over $75,000. But, I found a brand that I have been obviously obsessed with for years and yes it is Michael Kors again, his watches go from $250 to $350. I just got his gold watch and completely obsessed with it!

Lastly, there is the lovely trench coat where Burberry is a brand known for their trench coats which can range between $800 to about $2,000. Again, the trench coat that I bought was a Michael Kors tan trench coat which can run about $150 to $275. Luckily, I got mine on sale so instead of paying $275 I got it for $60!!! I love a good winter coat sale.

Trends for Spring....Anoraks

During Fashion Week we saw a lot of Anorak jackets by many designers’ including, Jason Wu, Tommy Hilfiger, and Edun. Even walking through Woodfield Mall over the weekend so many stores (Forever 21, H&M, Love Culture) was showcasing these amazing and very versatile jackets! I love the laid back, casual look of the jackets because you can dress it up and dress it down.

My particular favorite of the jackets it the one with the fur because it will allow you to only wear the Anorak and still be warm. Of the colors, I like the olive/forest green and the grey because they are neutral colors and I love my neutral colors.

What to Wear...Shopping

Shopping is probably what all us girls live for; well at least most of us girls live for it. So for today’s blog, we were inspired to make two different “shopping” on the ever loving leggings. The first look is very laid back and casual because of the flat riding boots and the long sweater.  But adding a tote bag, cool aviator sunglasses, and black studs will make you look effortlessly chic!

The next look is a little bit more chic and glamorous because of the nude pumps and the tight striped shirt with the leggings.  Adding the classic Michael Kors tote bag, the lucky horseshoe necklace and the simple black watch can make any girl feel like she is walking the streets of Rodeo Drive.

Wanted Wednesday is one of our favorite days for blogging because we get to showcase anything and everything we have ever wanted. Yes, this does mean we will be putting certain product’s that we can’t afford but that’s the fun of it. So for the first product, it is the MICHAEL Michael Kors Michael Kors handbag. I have been obsessed with Michael Kors lately, he is an amazing designer! This purse is small, so you can throw your essentials in it and hit the town shopping, running errands, going to lunch, or hanging with friends. It’s a very versatile purse every girl should have in her closet. Now, this is my favorite pick of the day, the MICHAEL Michael Kors Black Crystal-Encrusted Watch. I already have the MICHAEL Michael Kors Gold Plated Stainless Steel Chronograph Watch with Clear Stones on Bezel but this black watch will literally go with everything in my closet. Next, is something every girl should love because all girls love jewelry, this is a 14k Gold Ring from Macy’s. I am definitely a sucker for anything gold, that could be because I’m allergic the white gold and silver but anyways this is just a simple yet timeless ring that can be worn every day, any day. Now it’s time for Emily’s turn for Wanted Wednesday, her first pick was a pretty pale pink skirt from BCBG Max Azria that would be perfect for the spring; you could even pair her second pick with this skirt! Her second pick was fabulous Steve Madden platform wedge sandals which will surely be a show stopper! The last pick was the Prada 'Candy' Eau de Perfume Spray No Color 1.7 oz. Valentine’s Days is full of love, happiness, flowers, and candy! But we all know the dreaded feeling of picking out the perfect outfit.  After eating all your Valentine’s Day candy and staring at your long stem red roses, you know you have to pick that perfect outfit, will it be a more daring and edgy look, or a romantic and sexy look? Luckily, we have come up with two killer outfits that can please any girls need for fashion.  The first look is a more edgy and daring look; the “go to” LBD with sky high shoes, simple black studs, and an edgy clutch, any girl can feel like she can take on the world; while still looking good for her man on Valentine’s Day.
