What to Wear...on a rainy day

 

What to Wear...on a rainy day is perfect for today since it is raining in Chicago. This is also a perfect day to use this because I have the Burberry rain boots here and on my Wanted Wednesday that I featured today! Rainy days are a perfect day to whip out your trench coat, rain boots, a stylish umbrella.

 

In the first look I have the Burberry rain boots, Michael Kors trench coat, jeans, a sweater to keep you toasty warm, and a cute ruffled umbrella. This look is more of your casual rainy day look that would be perfect for a day of running errands or going shopping.

 

The last look has the Hunter high heel rain boots, a Burberry trench coat, jeans, pink scarf, wool hat, and a cute pink umbrella to match the scarf and trench coat. This look is a little more of your dressy rainy day that would be perfect for a lunch date or a day shopping.

Wanted Wednesday

Today is Wanted Wednesday and this particular one is my favorite because of how amazing these items are.  My first item are these amazing Burberry Rain boots. I have been wanting rain boots for the longest time because I hate getting my shoes and feet wet from the rain when I'm running errands or substituting and have to go outside for recess. These beautiful rain boots are $225. Yes, they are a little pricey but I think they will be well worth spending the money on because of their durability and classic pattern.

The next item are these amazing, chic, and classic Chanel earrings. These are so amazing I cant even contain myself right now! These can be worn day to day, a night on the town, or even a event. These earrings I could not find the actual price for because they were found in a vintage store but I know that Chanel's earring can cost anywhere between $275 to over $450.  

My last item for the day is this amazing leather jacket from Michael Kors. YES, I know I always showcase him in my blogs but I am completely obsessed with his brand! This leather jacket is very reasonably priced for a leather jacket at $298! This is such an amazing biker jacket that can be worn with almost anything (not a fancy dress or anything) and can be worn in the spring, fall, and winter.

My Favorite Singer

Hey all. I really wanted to share something with you guys other than fashion or beauty today. Not many people know but I absolutely love music and love to sing (I was actually supposed to be with a music label but I could not get over my stage fright). I have recently, in the last year, stumbled upon this amazing singer Jessie James. She is a country singer but I think she has a little pop in her songs too. I actually had her in my first Celebrity Look Alike for her music video "I Look So Good (Without You).

She just came out with a new single on January 31called "Say My Name." I wanted to share her music video for it because she isn't too well known and a girl with that voice should be much more famous than she is. I really hope you all like it and buy her single on Itunes now!!!

Celebrity Look Alike

Since I couldnt do my video for my hair day I will post another Celebrity Look ALike! I hope all of you like these outfits!
Today's Celebrity Look Alike I have the wonderful and very stylish Blake Lively but in this particular outfit she is playing Serena Vanderwoodsen from "Gossip Girl." The piece I love most in this outfit is the sequin skirt or dress (I couldn't really tell if it was a skirt or dress however I do know a lot of people have sequin dresses and the way to reuse it is by showing a little part of the dress like she is doing here). The casual stripped shirt, denim blazer, flip flops, and a big tan tote is what makes this outfit a more casual everyday look. I am actually going to go to Express this weekend and pic up a sequin skirt so I can try this outfit myself.

The next Celebrity Look Alike is the stylish and chic mom, Kourtney Kardashian. She is wearing an amazing romper that would be perfect for a day with the girls shopping or running errands. The off white blazer, small black purse, and brown sky high heels complete this outfit.

Hair...the perfect bun

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY everyone. I hope everyone has a great day!

I have always been a fan of "the bun" because of how quick, professional, and cute it is. But, I hate doing the same bun over and over again. Since this my video camera broke I cant put a video up until the weekend, so hold tight!!

P.S. I am a more of a messy bun rather than the smooth bun!!

Spring Trends...orange and tangerine

Fashion week had another big trend for the spring, orange and tangerine. These looks were showcased by designers like Sophie Theallet, Steven Alan, and Doo-Ri. These colors look good on every skin color so anyone can wear them. If you are hesitant to wear these bold colors I recommend bringing these colors out on your nails or wearing jewelry, shoes, or purses.

Celebrity Look Alike

Today’s Celebrity Look Alike is featuring two women who really know how to put an outfit together. The first celeb is Kourtney Kardashian who is wearing a beautiful standout skirt. Unfortunately I could not find a similar skirt with the black on it but I think this skirt is close. Pair with a simple black tank top, strappy black heels, black tote bag, and amazing cat eye sunglasses to complete the look.

The next celeb is Camilla Belle in this amazing Gucci outfit. I have been obsessed with this look since I first saw her in it and even though it is a more daring look because of the color blocking, you can look so chic because of the beautiful colors in it. I tried getting everything to look exactly like her outfit; green pants, purple shirt, orange blazer, and even the strappy green shoes (which happens to be my favorite piece of the outfit). Adding orange earrings, gold belt, and gold clutch and you too can feel like you’re walking the red carpet!

Makeup Monday

For Makeup Monday I am bringing you the lovely eye shadow. We all know M.A.C. is an amazing makeup company and has been used by a wide range of people like makeup artist, actresses, singers, and just us normal girls. M.A.C. luckily gives us more than what we pay for since each eye shadow is $15. Now there is the brand Urban Decay. This particular palette is amazing because of how neutral it is. Yes, it is $50 for 12 colors but the colors are amazing and you get what you pay for in the end. If M.A.C. or Urban Decay is a little too expensive for your liking then I have a brand that is absolutely amazing as well as affordable. The brand I am using now is B.H. Cosmetics and let me tell you, I WILL NOT go back to any other eye shadow brand. You can get either 120/88/28 different types of eye shadow for around $10 to $30. I particularly like the more neutral palette but I do have the 120 colors 2^nd edition and the 88 color neutral palette. This eye shadow lasts all day/night, I have even fallen asleep with it on and it still stays on (and this is without eye shadow primer)! Celebrity Look Alike

Everyone loves a good dose of Olivia Palermo because of her effortless style she wears walking the streets of New York and her trendy and chic outfits she wears on the red carpets. This certain look is her showcasing her effortless style while walking around the magnificent New York City. The cool color of the olive green jeans, the ballet flats, and her plain black sweater is a look any girl can wear. Pairing with a big tote bag, simple earrings, gold bangles, and beautiful movie star sunglasses will make you feel like you can take on the world, one store at a time.

The next starlet is the beautiful Leighton Meester, who we all know and love from the amazing show “Gossip Girl.” The show has really rubbed off on Leighton because she can wear simple olive green cargo pants with a white t-shirt and still make it look stylish. Save vs. Splurge

Don’t we all ask “where can I find a Hermes Birkin bag look alike and not spend thousands of dollars?” Now a little food for thought, if you can afford to splurge on classic items then I would. The item I would spend the most on for this blog is the trench but first I have to make more money to do that!!

The first item is the Hermes Birkin bag that can cost as little as $5,300 to over $50,000. Luckily I found a look alike bag by Michael Kors that cost $348 and I when I bought this item I fell in love with how it looks like the Birkin and of course the size of it!

Next is a gold watch, there is the luxury brand Rolex that can cost around $650 to over $75,000. But, I found a brand that I have been obviously obsessed with for years and yes it is Michael Kors again, his watches go from $250 to $350. I just got his gold watch and completely obsessed with it!

Lastly, there is the lovely trench coat where Burberry is a brand known for their trench coats which can range between $800 to about $2,000. Again, the trench coat that I bought was a Michael Kors tan trench coat which can run about $150 to $275. Luckily, I got mine on sale so instead of paying $275 I got it for $60!!! I love a good winter coat sale.
